I don’t have a high opinion of myself, and sometimes, that gets in the way of living a good life.

But I saw a quote a while back that brought things into perspective. I can’t remember it exactly, nor can I find it, but it went something like this:

No will ask you what your stats were, but they will ask you if you were a part of the championship team.

That hit me. It hit me because I am on the championship team: those who are preparing the world for the Lord’s Second Coming.

No, they won’t ask me for my stats; how many “important” callings I had, what impact I had, or how famous I was. But they will ask if I was on the team.

And I will be able to say, “Yes, I was.”
