It was over a year ago that I decided to run a political campaign. First, it was against Senator Mike Lee, but since he satisfied me, I switched to campaign against Governor Spencer Cox, Governor of Utah, in April.

In the intervening time, I have become more comfortable with the political situation in Utah. There seems to be more politically active people, and Governor Cox seems to be under more scrutiny than his predecessor.

That is not the only reason, however. I have personal limitations.

I do not have the strongest political skills, nor do I have the strongest ability to unify people.

In addition, a full-fledged campaign, which I would have run in the last year before the next gubernatorial election, would have taken a massive toll on the amount of attention and care I could provide to my wife. Specifically, I do not think I would be able to give my wife what she deserves, and what I promised in my marital vows, during the active campaign season.

My marriage comes first.

Therefore, I am terminating my campaign, though I will continue to be politically active, especially by blogging.
