I am bored, don’t have motivation to do useful work.

So, since I think Zion is the next greatest thing and the next great civilization, I thought I would design a flag for it.

Here it is:

My design for a flag for Zion.

The red center represents Jesus Christ and His blood that He shed for us. It is in the center because Christ should be the center of Zion and the center of everything we do because we have consecrated ourselves, our time, and our talents to Him.

White represents purity, so the white represents the “pure in heart” that come to Zion. These are the “elect” that Christ will gather “from the four quarters of the earth.” (See also 1 Nephi 22:25.) Hence, the white stretches from the four quarters of the flag to Christ in the center.

It also represents the fact that only a pure people can live in Zion.

The blue represents Heaven, which surrounds Zion and protects it. It also has a reference to Deuteronomy 30:4:

If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

Deuteronomy 30:4

This may also be a reference to the Ten Tribes coming from the North (D&C 110:11, D&C 133:26-34), so the blue also represents the Ten Tribes, who shall join us in Zion.

In addition, all of the colors exactly match the colors on the flag of the United States. This is because Zion shall grow out of the United States and be established where the United States once was. It’s also because Christ established the United States and its principles “by the hands of wise men whom I raised up unto this very purpose.” We should not forget that.

But most importantly, we should not forget Christ and His Law.
